Consumer Reports measures driving satisfaction by asking owners one key question: "Would you buy the same vehicle again?" For the third year running, Rivian is the top-rated brand, with BMW consistently placing second.
This is despite Rivian scoring last in reliability. Subaru, Tesla, Ford, Genesis, Lexus, Toyota, Honda, and Chevrolet completed the top 10. Several brands were excluded from the rankings due to insufficient survey data.
Rivian's R1S and R1T models impressed with premium interiors, though usability via touchscreens received low marks. The brand scored highly in driving dynamics, cabin storage, and ownership costs. Tesla led the driving category and ownership costs, while Rivian was the only brand to place in the top six across all five satisfaction categories.
Notably, individual reviews for Rivian models gave only a "fair" rating for predicted value, highlighting that real-world satisfaction can vary.
