While the rest of the world has given up on auto shows, Beijing went all out. Last week, the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition featured hypercars that accelerate to 60 mph in under a second, practical crossover EVs, and advanced sedans with intuitive HMI systems.

The show spanned almost 100 acres across 17 halls, showcasing 1,451 vehicles, 181 world premieres, 71 concept cars, and attracting over 1.28 million visitors. Among the highlights were the Xiaomi Vision GT hypercar, Yangwang U9 Xtreme with 2,977+ hp, and the Fang Cheng Bao Formula X supercar.

Key models include the Geely Eva Cab robotaxi, Citroën Elo concept, GAC M8 MPV, and the M-Hero M817 off-road SUV. The Lexus LFA Electric Concept, Dreame Nebula Next 01, and XPeng P7 also stood out. Nio showcased the ET9 executive sedan and Firefly entry model, while Hyundai revealed the Earth Concept SUV and Ioniq V.

Other notable vehicles include the Porsche 911 GT3 25th Anniversary Edition, Lynk & Co Time to Shine GT, and the Buick Electra with swiveling seats. The BYD Denza Z9 GT, Zeekr 009, and the GOVY AirCab flying car also made an impact. Overall, Beijing proved that car shows are far from dead in China.
