A unique piece of automotive history, the turbine-powered 1967 Ford Mustang drag racer known as "Krispy Kritter," is now up for auction on Bring a Trailer. This one-of-a-kind project was built by Ted Trischle around a Westinghouse J34 jet turbine engine originally from a Navy fighter jet.

The car's construction is radical, with the massive turbine essentially becoming the car's core. The bodywork is custom-made to accommodate the giant exhaust, and the interior is mostly occupied by the engine, leaving only a narrow space for the driver. Performance parts include a 1939 Plymouth front axle and 1958 Buick finned brake drums, with drag chutes for stopping.

The listing comes with extensive documentation, including stark warnings about operating the temperamental turbine engine, highlighting the car's extreme and dangerous nature. The auction is currently active, and the sale includes a trailer for transport.
