Challenging Expectations with Six-Cylinder Power

Dodge is making a bold play to win over Hemi enthusiasts with the introduction of the 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee. At the heart of this performance machine lies a 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six engine from the SixPack series, tuned to deliver a robust 600 horsepower. This setup provides a notable 50-hp increase over the Charger Scat Pack, resulting in a 0–60 mph sprint of 3.6 seconds and an 11.8-second quarter-mile time.

The engine achieves these gains through upgraded 56-mm turbochargers capable of producing over 30 psi of boost. While peak torque remains consistent with the Scat Pack at 531 lb-ft, the Super Bee reaches this threshold earlier in the power band, at 3,000 rpm. Additionally, revised exhaust tuning ensures that the vehicle provides a more aggressive auditory experience, complete with enhanced induction notes and audible pops during deceleration.

Enhanced Track Capability and Control

Despite being equipped with an all-wheel-drive system, the Super Bee is designed for drivers who crave traditional performance. A steering-wheel-mounted button allows for a dedicated rear-wheel-drive mode, making it easier to perform controlled drifts and burnouts. The vehicle also debuts new Track and Drag modes for the SixPack lineup and includes an optional Cosworth Drive Experience Recorder to track performance telemetry and video.

To improve track performance, engineers have refined the chassis significantly:

  • Suspension: Increased spring rates (12% front, 6% rear) paired with new dual-valve adaptive dampers.
  • Handling: A 20% stiffer rear anti-roll bar and firmer bushings to minimize understeer.
  • Tires & Brakes: Goodyear Eagle Supercar 3 tires mounted on 20x11-inch forged wheels, supported by massive 16-inch vented discs clamped by high-performance Brembo calipers.

Engineering for Extreme Demands

To support its high power density—roughly 200 hp per liter—Dodge has reinforced the powertrain components. This includes stronger half shafts and a vastly improved cooling system that features increased coolant capacity and specialized thermal insulation for the intercooler piping. The front fascia has been redesigned to optimize airflow, directing 30% more air toward the radiator and enhancing brake cooling efficiency.

Launch Edition and Availability

The 2027 Charger Super Bee will be available in both two-door coupe and four-door sedan body styles. The initial rollout will feature a limited-production "Launch Edition" offered in three distinct color schemes: Sucker Punch (yellow-green), Diamond Black, and a monochromatic gray known as Shady. Each model is distinguished by specific accents, Hyper Lime brake calipers, and unique interior branding.

While official pricing and delivery dates remain forthcoming, industry analysts suggest that prospective buyers should prepare for a starting price point around $80,000.
