A Collector's Gem in Las Vegas

Broad Arrow Auctions is set to showcase a standout modern Porsche at its second annual Las Vegas event, scheduled for October 31, 2026, at the Wynn. The vehicle in question is a 2023 Porsche 911 Sport Classic, specifically chassis number 224 of the limited 1,250-unit production run. This particular example distinguishes itself with a rare "Paint to Sample" Racing Red finish and has covered fewer than 2,600 miles. Auction experts estimate the final bid will fall between $625,000 and $695,000.

Engineering Meets Heritage

The 992-generation Sport Classic is far from an ordinary 911. Developed by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, it utilizes the foundation of the 911 Turbo S. However, engineers replaced the standard automatic transmission with a seven-speed manual gearbox and transitioned the car to rear-wheel drive. To accommodate the transmission, the 3.7-liter twin-turbo flat-six was calibrated to 543 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. The removal of all-wheel-drive components reduced the vehicle's weight by approximately 200 pounds, resulting in the most powerful manual-transmission 911 Porsche has produced to date.

Beyond the powertrain, the chassis is highly sophisticated. As noted by the auction house, the car comes equipped with:

  • Rear-axle steering
  • Adaptive dampers
  • Carbon-ceramic brakes
  • Active anti-roll bars

Capable of hitting 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds, the vehicle is designed for both high-speed performance and refined grand touring.

Distinctive Design and Custom Finish

The exterior features a blend of classic and modern aesthetics, including a carbon-fiber hood, a "double bubble" roof reminiscent of the Carrera GT, and a fixed ducktail spoiler inspired by the 1973 Carrera RS 2.7. Inside, the cabin channels nostalgia with wood trim, green-lit gauges, and iconic Pepita fabric seat inserts.

While the model was standardly offered in Sport Grey Metallic, this specific unit’s Racing Red paint—a $12,830 option—sets it apart. Delivered new in Oregon, the car has been meticulously maintained, recently undergoing a comprehensive service in June 2026. It currently carries a clean history report and remains under both factory and Certified Pre-Owned warranties.

Market Value and Trends

The Sport Classic has demonstrated remarkable market resilience. According to Hagerty Valuation Tools, the current market value for a 911 Sport Classic in "Good" condition sits at approximately $544,000—a nearly 40% increase over three years and double its original base MSRP of $272,300. Market experts suggest that the low mileage and exclusive paint option on this specific lot justify its premium estimate.

Interestingly, the modern homage to the 1973 Carrera RS 2.7 is currently commanding higher values than the classic model it honors. As a point of comparison, Hagerty estimates the 1973 RS 2.7 in similar condition at $445,000, underscoring the intense demand for high-end, limited-production modern Porsches.

The Auction Event

The Las Vegas auction will feature around 70 select vehicles, including a prestigious 2003 Ferrari Enzo. For collectors interested in rare, heritage-edition Porsches, this Sport Classic represents a significant opportunity to acquire a well-documented, CPO-backed performance machine.
