A rare opportunity for collectors is emerging as Broad Arrow Auctions prepares to offer an exceptionally preserved McLaren P1 at its upcoming Zoute Concours Auction on October 9, 2026. This specific vehicle, chassis number 352, is listed as Lot 129, with pre-auction estimates ranging between €1.4 million and €1.8 million.
A Unique Belgian History
Of the only 375 units ever produced, this P1 stands out as one of just two delivered new to Belgium. Since taking possession in April 2015, the sole owner based in Brussels has maintained the vehicle meticulously. It has undergone nearly annual servicing at McLaren Brussels, with the most recent inspection occurring in July 2026. Notably, tests conducted during this service confirmed that the hybrid system's high-voltage battery retains 92 percent of its original capacity, an impressive result for a car of this vintage.
Sophisticated Configuration
The vehicle features a customized specification totaling nearly €50,000 in options. The exterior is finished in an MSO Storm Grey paint, complemented by the Stealth Pack, silver lightweight wheels, and extensive gloss carbon fiber detailing. Inside, the cabin is refined with Carbon Black Alcantara, matching stitching, and lightweight carbon racing seats, creating an understated look that emphasizes the supercar's aerodynamic design.
Preservation Standards
The car is described as remaining in “as new” condition, still equipped with its original factory-fitted tires. The owner maintained a strict preservation protocol, avoiding water-based washing entirely in favor of professional detailing services. Additionally, the vehicle has never been exposed to rain. It has carried the Belgian registration plate “P1” since its initial delivery and comes with a technical inspection certificate valid through June 2027.
The sale includes a comprehensive collection of original delivery items, such as:
- Original owner's handbook in its protective box
- Two scale model replicas
- Personalized correspondence from former McLaren CEO Mike Flewitt
- Two keys housed in a carbon fiber presentation box
- Full provenance documentation from order date to present
Engineering Legacy
The McLaren P1 was designed to carry the torch of the legendary McLaren F1. It utilizes a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine integrated with an electric motor, producing a combined output of 916 PS and 900 Nm of torque. Utilizing Formula One-inspired technologies—such as the Instant Power Assist System, KERS, and a Drag Reduction System—the car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds. Built upon a carbon MonoCell chassis with a curb weight of only 1,395 kilograms, it remains a hallmark of 2010s hypercar engineering.
Following the auction, the vehicle has been accepted into the Zoute Concours d'Elegance, where it will be showcased as a featured entry. The successful bidder will also receive complimentary tickets to the event to witness the car's presentation.
